In October 2024, two inspiring individuals—Charlotte Aime Rosalijos and Jayden Rayne Monterey—returned to a familiar place, this time not as recipients but as volunteers, giving back to the community that once helped them. Their involvement in My Dream In a Shoebox’s (MDIAS) gift-giving event in Payatas, Quezon City, was a full-circle moment that brought both joy and inspiration.

Charlotte, a Process Associate at a logistics company, was once one of the many children who received a dream kit from MDIAS. Before the pandemic, she vividly remembers the struggles of attending school without the necessary supplies, making it difficult to stay motivated. However, thanks to MDIAS’s support, Charlotte was able to finish her studies and build a career in Accountancy. “MDIAS gave me the encouragement I needed to continue my education,” she shares. “It’s because of their help and the support of my family that I’m now in a position to give back.”
